Waste of time fitting out van for WFP
« on: May 31, 2012, 07:10:28 pm »
MOT expires at the end of June. Ive had all the required work done for it to fly through.
The problem ive got is, as its a 5 seater, the rear seatbelts need to be checked, but ive got my tank there rachet strapped down.
Ok, I can easyly remove tank out of side slideing door, in order for the seats to be put back and like i said itll pass its MOT. But this now means I cant get a metal frame fitted around the tank for added saftey.

I think ive took my berlingo as far as it can go in this game and need to get a proper van.

Well, you cant say I havent tried  ;D

yeh james get yourself a cheap second hand van and kit it out then when funds allow buy yourself a separate car for leisure and pleasure.then when you come home after a hard days work you can fill up for the next days work and use the car for weekend breaks and going where you please without driving a big heavy load of water about with you!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

best wishes

I was told by an MOT garage that, if the seats were not in, the seat belts would not be checked. BUT if the seats were re fitted it would have to be re tested as the MOT would show that at the time of the test the rear seats were not fitted.
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

I had a escort series 2 rs turbo that I had stripped down to be reconditioned. Once all the welding was done the guy working on my car put the two front seats back in the two front seat belts and it passed.

The rear seats are folded up, not actually taken out completly, maybe this is why. ???
