What's it like? I'm thinking of something suitable for minging first cleans, maybe something that can hold a squirt of cream cleaner to bite through the dirt and moss?

Yes I use that one and I find it incredibly good.  I use it with hot water and it's the best brush I've tried with hot by far. The bristles retain their shape and the scrubbing power is brilliant, you also get a nice rinse glass on.  I can't comment too much as to what it would be like with cold.  The only downside is that it isn't dual trim so it can bounce a little on leaded windows, I might take the scissors to a couple of rows of bristles on mine at some point.

Simon.

i use cold water & your right it does feel  different on the glass than dual trim but once you get used to it its fine, i rinse on the glass as well

Excellant results from rinsing on glass on maintenance cleans, good  at removing bird muck
Spit and polish
