all mine seem to be dead loose, leaking & hose pulling out dead easy. 2 of them are brand new as well, the hose doesn't seem to push in properly its not happened before could it be the heat - i use gardiners old soft hose - if it is what can i do ????                    its too hot to think & i'm covered in midge bites & nettle rash

i was having the same trouble
YOU MIGHT NEED TO PUT AN INSERT IN TO THE HOSE ,i used a gardiners plastic fan jet,i cut off the stem from the fan head and inserted that into the hose and now it seems ok

serrated edge into the hose the other end into the push fit connector
