I set off this morning and got to first house and found that my hose had been trailing on the road
(it comes out via a hole underneath the bumper of the van)
so the male fitting was wrecked and I had no spares
. After kicking myself all over the garden of the customers house I set off to find a replacement phoning around as I went :
.
Anyway two hours later I am frantic and still no replacement ... so I decide to by-pass it with a straight through connector and a car battery terminal clamp - from Halfords. It went together really well
snuggest connector in the pole hose this then almost fitted inside the reel hose with a hard twisting push - lube if necessary. Terminal clamp around the lot ... solid as a rock but ... no flow control at the pole end. Just thought I would pinch the pipe to stop hope for the best.
Guess what!
It speeded me up no end! Best system ever! Made up those two wasted hours easily 15-20 mins a house no bother at all splash and dash went back after to check and wipe all the downstairs frames and sill with scrim (I can't be bothered chasing bits of dirt around frames with water - doesn't seem much point scrim is better) perfect results and it cost £2 saved 8 manhours a week I reckon! Brilliant!
