Done it again
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:17:13 pm »
Got to my first job this morning and realised  that I had my own personal mobile paddling pool.  ;D ;D
I've done it that many times that I have taken the carpet out to stop it smelling.  :-[
I could do with some sort of switch on the tank lid that stops you starting the engine if it's not screwed on properly.

Is anyone else this stupid or is it just me.  ;D
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Do you hear it slopping around more than usual without the lid on?  We do, but we only have a partial bulk head.

Only done that once, but the other day I braked a bit harder than usual and the reel tipped over taking the hose off with the pump running so I had water pumping into the back until I got to my next job. It's not so bad atm as it dries out quickly.

it 's a bit noisy in the van due to there being no capet an underlay, so the radio gets turnd  up. Plus wirh it being warm the aircon is on full (widows down) and a full wooden bulkhead means you can't hear the water sloshing around.
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

I agree, but there is a different set of problems when you're trad.  No solution will ever bring a 'problem free' existence, only a change of problems.

I personally prefer WFP problems to trad problems.

I never take my lid off. I have a male hozelock style connector sticking out of it and a loop of tube for an air vent so as you dont get a vacuum.

You must end of with all sorts of bits in your tank by keep taking the lid on/off.

I never did it once when I was RO. Switched to filling the tank from the tap and DI'ing on the way out and because it's so much faster, I get caught out all the time. My family think I have lost it because I jump up and run out the house when I remember it's still filling. Twice, passers by have knocked on the door to tell me there is water gushing from the van. If I do it again I might pop!

Doesn't really matter with a pick up - just wasteful.

I use the countdown timer on my watch or phone otherwise I WILL forget.

Filling the van from our static the other morning-got distracted, about 150 litres overflowing
Mind you,the van needed a clean out
