need to buy a hose reel 2night.
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:07:35 pm »
my hose is leaking all over the place , while im replacing it i might as well get a new hose reel ,

can someone recomend one to me ,?

http://www.thecleaningwarehouse.co.uk/complete-8mm-micro-hose-100m--metal-reel-inc-fittings-1608-p.asp  is that any good?

im after something that is going to last so not afaid of spending money would prefer a feeder to prevent hands or gloves getting dirty handeling the hose as its coming in.

i have the same but the one with wheels had it a few years now even fell out the back of my van once when i set of and forgot i hadn't shut the back door  :o so they are robust..i just use and old scrim when winding the hose in to stop hands getting dirty.

i do lift it at the moment but the first one has to be made up ive had one of those before to be fair it was semi plasic and it was cheaper so going on what you said i might go for it.

the best one i had was a gloria but thats donkeys years old now and has fallen apart.

that one that wcw sell seems to be a single piece it would need to be bolted down thou which aint a problem really it just seems totally solid was hoping someone might have tryed it or recomend any other option. i might wait till tomorrow evening need a few more recomendations.

I got myself a Radashe 460series reel Koreel, I know Gardiners sell them, but I got mine from a nearby Hydraulic fittings suppliers for £138 incl vat and have found a big difference in ease of use compared with the standard issue reel that most of us use normally. I can pull the hose out at greater angles without it snagging, it reels out easier coz it has bearings and grease points and a swivel valve assembly which is very robust. Money well spent for sure  ;D

I had a bit of extra cash and was doubtful at first wether to get one or not! I must say I'm well happy with it, everything to do with the hose has become far easier.
By the way, it's a Reelworks 460 Series not a Radashe which is what I posted earlier. You won't regret spending your hard earned wad on one of those Carl

Sorry Crystal, didn't check the posts so I'm probably a bit late replying.
I got mine from a nearby Hydraulic fittings suppliers Blackwell Hydraulics in Deeside £138 incl vat, I was a bit surprised when he gave me the price, bargain and worth the extra money imo.
