A lot of people get narked if post or a leaflet is not pushed all the way through the letterbox as its an advert to potential burglars that no one is in.... This is just a flag to everyone that they are away if left on the door for days at a time....if you dont believe me contact your local crime prevention officer and they will confirm it....

I am one of those people.  I get seriously p'd off if it isn't pushed all the way through.  I even retaliated once and shoved a load of torn leaflets through the letter box of a pizza establishment and left a note saying why I did it (without my address on as I'm a coward  .
It's an open invitation to burglars and, in my defence, I did this a few weeks after being burgled.  I was still pretty stressed about it.

Not negative or pessimistic.  The possibility of encouraging a break-in is very real.  Maybe you've never been burgled.  I have and I've never forgotten how it felt even though it was 20 years ago.

It only takes one bad thing to happen, but that said if you are happy then do what you are happy with but dont expect everyone to agree and slap you on the back..... Cos it seems that is what you are looking for....

Just about every thing we will do might offend someone but what do we do nothing.One cannot for see every event so we just do what we think works.I do not understand how a teenager can stand in Asda and swear at all and sundry and no one gets offended, but find a door hanger a problem. I will say no more, zip.

Rogue trader thanks for your support.I have put this on a few forums and am just amazed at the different responses its like a forum I Q test.This might have the numbers but that`s all.If I wanted to advertise I would want to see the active members list as most have just left and are just a name on a list. That`s why its the dark(  or dead side ) side.

From my point of view I am not a yes man, if I have thoughts on something then I post those thoughts. Its nothing personal but you dont seem to take constructive critism well. Its easy to say someone that posts comments against you are negative and not visionary but you dont know me and my thoughts wont change....
