How are we supposed to comment without seeing it. Stick a picture up and I will give my opinion.

I have a leaflet printed 3 per  A4 page on card its has all my details and services I offer, but it does not go through the letter box. It has a hole at the bottom and fits over the door handle. So the home owner has to remove it and I have watched they all read it. If it is there the next day I can say they have not read it so I get a guaranteed show in. So far it working well got 5 new customer on the week end.It does not get lost among all the other junk mail in the postbox. ITS NOT THE BULL AND THE LEAFLET THAT WORKS IS THE DELIVERY.

A lot of people get narked if post or a leaflet is not pushed all the way through the letterbox as its an advert to potential burglars that no one is in.... This is just a flag to everyone that they are away if left on the door for days at a time....if you dont believe me contact your local crime prevention officer and they will confirm it....

Plus you may be questioned if a house were broken into don't like the idea due to the same reasons as above putting the public at risk of being broken into is not a good idea  :) :)

i STARTED THIS WAY OF DROPPING LEAFLETS 3 MONTHS BACK AND HAVE NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT YET only results. Not one leaflet has stayed on the handle of the doors longer than the one day .Your areas you work in must be crime dens.  South is safe.  Mate

Really good idea.....but!!!

There is a stupid law stating that, unless the leaflet is pushed all the way thro.....it's illegal.

I think it's littering or something like that. I know a fella who got done for leafleting cars, he was done for littering, and was told its the same unless the leaflet goes all the way thro the letterbox. ::)

You would have a job trying to get a leaflet through a car door anyway.I worked in the estate agency business and if the leaflet blow around it is regarded as littering.I use a elastic band to fasten the leaflet to the handle of the door there for no litter. The problem with a cars is the owners take it off and through it on the ground. I aften see news papers at the front door so I will just keep trying to sell my service till they slap me in jail. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

G B on Saturday I dropped 232 leaflets and go 5 new customers. Any way I thought I would just pass on a idea that has worked for me. But its seams to risky for most.

erm, the leaflets were put on the windscreens!!

We all break the law some way or another, im just saying what ive heard. But just putting the leaflet on the car is classed as littering!!

If you read what I said you will see I think its a great idea in theory and looking at the numbers works well enough but there are pitfalls.... Crack on as you are but I just wanted to warn of the potential pitfalls....

This method of leafleting is done a lot in the states.

I have looked at it in the past but not sure it would be any better than traditional flyers.

it would be interesting to hear what kind of results you get after around 5000 have been put out, a couple of hundred is not enough to judge as we have all had good and bad areas.
I once put 100 flyers out and got 12 new customers after 24 hours. but have also put out 2000 and got diddly squat.
Keep us informed.
