national companies
« on: May 20, 2012, 07:40:04 pm »
i think it would be useful if we get a list together of all the shops, stores etc that are cleaned by a national company, and who the national company are for each one.

to have a list would either save you from wasting your time trying to canvas these stores or to be able to contact the national companies to offer your services etc

Why not do the opposite, find out who is doing what and then refuse to do this work, remember the big boys quote low to win the contract and then want to pay us less than the job is worth so they can make a higher profit, well they won the contract so they should clean it.

This then leaves us to concentrate on better paying work.

You would also find that if they cannot find sub contractors, they will either increase their prices or stop tendering for the work at such silly low prices

my idea was to either avoid wasting time trying to canvass these shops/stores etc or be able to offer services to the nationals if any of these stores are not being cleaned  in your area.

i was hoping to make it easier for people if all information was to hand.

I would think the list would be out dated within weeks due to companies defaulting on contracts and contracts being up for tender  :) :)

And that pretty much sums it up!  ;)

It was a good idea.

National window cleaning companies stink.

lets put it to the test, and see if there is a window cleaner with a national contract who is willing to answer a few questions on here.......................................................... didn't think so.

They do not care a toss about keeping the place clean, they are crooks and wide boys who are in it for a quick buck. A succession of skanky creatures have insinuated their way into the major national retailers and repeatedly ripped them off with promises of services that are simply not provided.

Don't know how you are going to do it, but I will give you a tenner for the list.

Here is one to get you going.... Interserve are supposed to have the contract for boots.
if it is dirty it is fair game

The "national" companies seem to offer a pathetic level of service in terms of quality of clean. The local managers must be so cheesed off with the state of some of their shops/buildings. I sometimes look at a Boots or what have you when out shopping and some of them look like they haven't been done in yonks. You wouldn't want your name on the job. It's just a money saving exercise from HQ and I don't see why wc's chase after this type of job. Just my opinion.

Thing is,it's only windies who go shopping and decide to have a look at how dirty the windows are,the general public go shopping for a bargain and don't give two monkeys about how clean the windows are, never heard a customer yet say'oh I think I will get that perfume from Semichem because their windows are cleaner than Boots'
