3 new window cleaners in my area!
« on: April 23, 2012, 10:01:56 pm »
Noticed 3 new vans with wfp in my area over the last week.one company have even picked up all my bad payers I've dumped!! ;D ;D

Some parts of my round have been canvassed and leafletted 5times in the last few weeks!

I must admit I've never had this much competition before!not lost any work though.

How are you guys doin?is there lots of newbies in your area?

I think wfp is becoming the norm now.still plenty of tradders but wfp is certainly beco ;Dming more common!
price higher/work harder!

There are a lot of people out there who have been redundant and are looking to make a new start.  These are not your usual summer brigade. For the most part they are people of a much higher calibre who are not going to let this fail because they have put their redundancy money into it. Anyway they are running out of other ideas.

It may not be a threat to you at the moment but the underlying reasons for them appearing on the streets is a threat to all of us because nobody is an island.

unless you come from a grafter job background or are of  fairly humble personality ,you probably wont survive as a newbie these days
a flash newbie with redundancy cash will often fail once they realize what this job is about.

a lot of these blokes are cocky types, snazzy pullovers and a 59 plate car back at home.iv met a few over the years ,they go thru money like water and often end up selling their alloy wheels on Ebay

they will likely soon realize the streets are not paved with gold

Thats what i do target the sold houses and the custy always buys my story that i do loads of the neighbours there and then. I wouldnt worry though as long as they dnt steal your work you have nout to worry about

Dazza, someone who cares as much about window cleaning as you do, contantly giving and seeking advice, always looking forward streamlining his round, in my opinion has nothing to worry about from any competition, i doubt any of the new guys will have the passion for there job that you demonstrate
