Have ordered one of these machines, as it seems to be a good machine yet still affordable, what are peoples thoughts on them, have read some peoples concerns over the pumps psi at only 135, but also lots of good things. Your thiughts please.

Its too late now asking for advice if youve just ordered one ::)

I had one and its great. But a 400psi pump would make it fantastic.

I have one, made the mistake of getting it not long after it came out. Whent
through 3 pumps in 18 months drove me round the twist. In the end i took
it back to alltec last September and they did a comepleat revamp, its been
great ever since. Tought me a lesson though i will never again buy a machine
that has just come out, far better to wait until any teething problems have
been solved. In the end its a machine, and no matter what you get its going
to break down at some time. Whether it be a vac or a pump. Happy cleaning

I would'nt worry about it been 135psi, uptil 3-4 yrs ago all portables had just 100-135psi and everyone one was doing great cleaning ( or so they said ;) )

it's only lately that everyone has gone psi mad.

the alltec is a great machine and in the right hands is capable of good workmanship.

Ah but the extra psi does make things quicker, easier and you have more flexibility.

great heater on it.  Gets right up to 90c.

Got aqua 40 plus with upgrade, same pump and vac motors, same heater, excellent machine, great results and paid for itself in 9 days, so can`t be bad !!! You have the advantage of more solution / waste capacity than me.

i have also got an alltec advantage in my opion they
are very well built machine that will stand the test of time without to much problems. they have plenty of vacume power for demestic work and the odd bit of commercial work if you know what you are doing with them.
down side again is the pump i have a 135 psi in mine which wil
only really work half decent up to 50 foot of hose, wouldnt call it great on 25 f of hose either but it does ok just cant go as quickly as i would like.
a pump up grade is  needed on these machines to make life easier
has any body upgraded there pump on these machines if
what did you upgrade to and how much did it cost you ?

was thinking of upgrading to around 300psi as yet nothing done about this

When the advantage came out it was advertised as having an 200psi pump
as an option, witch i would have had. But was then told you cannot  have
one becouse it could not be fitted in. Big disapointment as i am sure a good machine could have been even better

Hi.
I have a Steamway 9100 TM and also use a Advantage when not possible to use a TM. Also use the Advantage with my cleaning partner on upholstery.
The machine is excellent and the back up from Chris and the boys at Alltec, should it go wrong is top notch. The TM has had quite a few small problems over the year or so i have had it, but each time they have got me up and running the next day. So do not worry about their back up service  ;)
