make the most rainy weather
« on: April 22, 2012, 05:48:37 pm »
Have decided that to overcome the pi..sed off feeling of not being able to earn money while its raining I am gonna get prepared to collect as much rain water  as possible from my roofs and greenhouse so that instead of looking at the sky and growling I will be collecting water that will help me save money in the long run on expensive resin , just measured the water from my greenhouse reading 18 which is a damn sight better than my tap water reading 89 ish and I am sure if I give the glass a good clean and get rid of moss etc. it will be even better , well its worth a try to keep my brain from burning , good idea or not

Very good idea... The unit I have has a massive roof so therefore plenty of lovely free water to be collected... I am awaiting the arrival,of a couple ibc tanks next week and then away we go... In line particle filter then simply push it through a di vessel... Therein here is between 3 and 9 so happy days....
Loving the freedom and enjoying the hard work......

Well there it is then , work hard in the drizzle and then collect a lot of the downpour for the rest of the year to help keep my chin up , hells fire i might even be able to sell some collected rainwater ...thats a thought... or will it be illegal ?.. , any way not gonna let this rain get me down... plus it will benefit other window cleaners if the rain comes down sufficiently to prevent any hose bans. Mind you the more I think about it I would be able to collect the rain from my house roof and my neighbours roof both sides because I am a gable end. All I need to do is clean out all the guttering involved and put a couple of filters in the down pipes ... and lead the water into my greenhouse which could hold 3 1000 litre IBC tanks.
