Who knows Steve - the whole for sale section is a complete farce.

Things moved on a daily basis from the original for sale section into different sub-sections and what is worse is that you don't get a "new post" symbol on the home page, you have to click onto the sub-section to see if there are any new posts.

Ridiculous idea !

I must agree the original system seemed more straightforward and since its changed i dont tend to look at it so much.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, just to let you know that (public) is only viewable to you as the poster on your topic, it basically means that the advert is live! We may change the wording on this one.

Also just to let you know that the moves are to make it easier to find things relevant to you, you can click straight through from the home page to these new child boards. You will see the board name will be in bold if there are new topics in there you haven't read. Also once the board is open you will still see the "new" button on the ones you haven't yet viewed just as in the other boards throughout CIU.

The idea is to have other boards in these sections that benefit members such as supplier offers and business opportunities/leads.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Happy Posting.

CIU Team.

FORUM ADMIN - No one likes it. NO ONE! So why not just take it all down and put the old system back again?

Why doesn't it come up when you click on the
main heading??
Took me ages to realise you have to click on
the smaller sub title.
Bit of a backward step methinks.

It isnt easier, if you are a cleaning company, you have to look on all effing sections.
Lifes too short the masses want the old one back, drop it.

It's only easier to the one person who set it up, it's just like when NTL/Virgin (my internet supplier) decide to make changes to something that worked nicely and was easy to use. Over night the only people who knew how to work the damned system was the smart alecs who divised it.

I was a regular to the buy/sell section but when it changed I just gave up looking there.

Why not listen to the people who use your forum they are not saying it for nothing it is their opinion you have made a mistake why not do a pole on it.
