Van Insurance
« on: April 14, 2012, 10:33:09 am »
Finally changed my ancient Ford P100 to a slight less ancient Ford Ranger and have a slight jump in premium from £160 to £464.
At 43 and living in the South West that does seem rather a lot.
It's WFP with a 400 litre tank.
Anyone have any insight, favourable insurance companies or suggestions other than walking?

I am sure someone will be along shortly with help for you. I find insurance in the U K such a ripp off, but because it all have known we get ripped.E G drive a balingo people carrier and clean window it will be cheaper than using a van for the same use. Other countries do no charge more if you have more then one drive. Here we must insure for each driver and yet many of these under writer companies operate in these other  countries. One that comes to mind is Aviva.

Thanks for your comments and help.

Went through Adrian Flux as my Capri's insured through a Classic Policy for £98 fully comp.
Managed £440 commercial insurance, fully comp, low excess and tank covered with no questions asked!
Can't be bad.
