Was hoping we could start a new pole to see how many of us use Vikan brushes or Salmon etc and how we all rate them out of ten.

Anybody interested??

I think Peter Fogwill does the Salmon brushes - wouldn't mind trying one to see if I could recommend it to my customers.

Bought my trolley setup from Peter Fogwill and it came with a 15" x 2" Salmon with fan jets - I found it too wide for my domestics and changed to a 10" Vikan with straight jets which worked well but I found it a bit small and thus slower on my commercials (fussy beggar - I know)

Last month I bought Peter's autobrush (fitted on a 12" x 3" Salmon with fan jets) and it's perfick! Saves water, I go faster - all is good.

(I keep the vikan for long reach over some edwardian conservatories as it's lighter and bends the pole less.)

Only used ionics so far.  Nothing else to compare, so don't know anything else yet.
Brush itself seems very good, bit soft but ideal for corners.  Have to say I expected the connecting neck to the brush head and to the pole to be better for the price, not very robust, bit weak and below standard from a company that makes out it's top quality.

Morph if its one their multipoles (residential) then its made by Exel and has an angle adapter.

Gaz,

Your brush looks like it's got an extra connector(clear or white plastic) on the neck angle, from the angle connector to the brush, if you know what I mean.  That looks handy for getting awkward windows above conservatories.  If so, where'd you get it?  If not just ignore my ramblings, most do!

The bit you are on about is an adaptor,it screws on to the adjustable kneck and the other end is tapered because the brush does`nt have a thread it just pushes in and i secure it with a small screw,the pole i fibregalss 2x2 m,and i use a trigger on all my poles,but as you can see the hose is exterior this is the first time iv`e done this,im going to put it to the test tomorrow,Gaz

Gaz you may just be able to squeeze fit the pipe underneath the cam lever which will lock the pipe in place ? Also need to find a way of fastening it to the adaptor temporarily near the brush, I have used one trurn of pvc tape. Also one twist of the pole will wrap the hose around the pole to help anchor the top section, the rest you just hold beneath your bottom hand when operating. Youm may also be able to surform the extra un needed plastic from the brush edges which will lighten it. Takes time but you only need to di it once. What make of brush is it ?
