No, but I like the look of them. Tell you what, you buy one and give us all a review next week.  ;)

Anyone use one?

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/EZ-Pure_Commercial_RO_Kits.html

Cheers

I haven't got one, but have also looked and thought about it.

I am however not too sure about the combined sediment and carbon block. They seem quite expensive initially but do have a long life expectancy. But our sediment filters don't last very long here before they are filthy.
By the lack of replies I wonder how many Gardiners have actually sold.

What about making a 40/40 unit up. You would need a membrane, champ housing, fittings, hoses and 2 x 20" housings, with sediment and carbon block filters.

Anyone gone down this route?

Our 450GPD r/o is barely managing with the 3 of us, but with the amount of rain we have just had, rain water harvesting might be another route to consider as a topup.

We have sold a good number of these units (kits and complete systems) mainly because of their simplicity of installation and maintenance. This has attracted users to the world of RO who have been put off because of the complexity and slow production of non-commercial units.

The carbon has a 6 month/350,000 litre life, however I do have one client here in Cornwall (soft water) who has successfully managed 18 months use from one with no change in production quality and rate. He has now just changed it though as he did not want to risk his membranes. Due to the size of these units they are the equivalent of having a separate sediment and 5 separate carbon block filters of a usual 10" size. This is why they last so long. Also they provide far better contact for each litre of water with the media as it travels through the filter compared to standard 10"/20" items.

There are other cheaper options available, but probably nothing so simple to use.

The Hydrotube is easy to use, but is much more fiddly to service and replace the inserts.

Also for the record the EZ-Pure units were on the market for about a year before this particular Hydrotube was released in 2011. If there is any 'copying' going on then it looks like it is the other way around!  :)
