Gettimg into Kitchens
« on: April 05, 2012, 09:10:43 pm »
Hi Guys,

As some of you probably know I've been looking into the canopy and extraction cleaning. What I'm starting to find is that most people tend to start out cleaning domestic ovens. Seems like a good plan to start there, maybe get some leaflets posted and buy all the gear to start this way. I always find when looking at cleaning something you always end up looking at having to get other gear which can get you into other work i.e. kitchen floors need buffing, buy a buffer. Then in a round about way you have got a bit of kit to start carpet cleaner, so you buy an extraction system.

We carry out kitchen deep cleans/3 monthly canopy cleans. but draw the line with touching the extraction
ducting. you will need specialist/costly equip and will be expected to produce a recognised certificate on completion, if done properly. Farm that work out let them take the risk.
Ps. little advice, dont sellyour self to short as kitchen deep cleans are hard going. to clean them thoroughly that is,
cheers.

Hi mate,

I'm qualified and trained to clean extraction ducting the course covered all this plus fitting access panels, fans. I can also test ducting with nacda pumps for bacteria and fungi.

Can't remember off the top of my head. Was through the Hvca Which is now the B&ES. It covers kitchen extract and air conditioning. I'll dig out the name if you like
