Cimex CR38 Hard Floor Version
« on: April 05, 2012, 05:59:30 pm »
Was looking for a CR48 for carpets and came across this high rpm version so only for hard floors could be a bargain for someone? Comes with a set of brushes. Bought it before realising it was for hard floors seller understanding so giving them a plug.

Surely the only difference is the brushes that are fitted?

If I remember correctly, the CR38 is 15", and the CR48 is the 17" (Or is it 19" I'm not sure..). I'm sure Jamie@CSUK can confirm this.

I've been keeping an eye on it, but haven't got the workload to justify the ££ just yet.

According to that, the lower speed model is a crs48 - yet they list a shampoo brush for the cr38. I know the 48 is more popular than the 38, but I'm sure some people still use the 38, although I am far from an expert.

I'm pretty sure Jamie is a dealer for them, might be worth asking him for a deal - I think he had an ex-demo one recently.

I am back! The CR38 does come in 2 models. One at 400rpm and another at 600 rpm (mainly an export machine).

My advice would be consider exactly what you want to do with the machine as it is a lot of cash for one specific task.

The CR38 has the same size chassis, tank and motor as the CR48 but smaller brushes and the 400rpm performs better for cleaning and the faster for polishing works.

The diamond finisher model only has a narrow range of application.

We find that modified HD's that we built in house are better.
