Well i am di only at the moment and it takes 1+1/2 hours to fill my van at night ,we are on realy bad mains pressue.

So i was thinking of getting a ro so it can be doing its business while i am at work then pump from the holding tank to the van ,hopefully quicker than my outside tap

I have a 1000ltr ibc tank in the garage Dave. Where I store my RO water.
I have a submersiable pump that lives in the IBC tank. I bought it brand new deleiverd on Ebay for £20.00. Their for sale every day on Ebay.

I connected a 20 mtr 1" hose to the pump. and I can fill my 800ltr tank in the van in 11mins. If you were to buy a 1 1/2" hose it will fill even quicker.

Tank cost me £30.00, used once. £20.00 pump, Hose £25.00.

Why not try silverline 400w submersible pump £16.80 +VAT 150 liters per min 6 meter head

Or 500w sub pump£19.32 +VAT 200 liters min with same head

The speed at which it fills your tanks also depends alot on how close to the pump you can get
My holding tanks are around 30mts away and on a slight hill about a 12ft climb

 allthough the pumps are capable of pumping 15000lts per hour its still takin over an hour to fill 400lts.

Thats two pumps with two normal garden hose, I think it might work faster with larger bore hose I might give this a try!

I use a "screw fix " sump pump about £35 from holding to van about 20 mtrs moves 500 ltrs in about 5 minutes. used this system for about 2 years now connect pump to 1" hose (type used for garden ponds) works a treat...

same for me. pond pump. inline . tidy and made for the job. they do what they say on the box.. i do hav a cheap sump pump for a spare tho. a spare is important. a days work cost more than a pump.

I've a submersible pump in my static IBC tank, fills up my 650l tank in roughly 10 mins.
Has to pump the water 45m through a 1 inch hose, its a 125l per min pump.

Gardinerpoles do them for a very respectable price....a bloody sight cheaper than the place I got mine from too
I won't name the company, but they are a major player in WFP and I feel really ripped off over it

The identical pump as Gardinerpoles sell (to look at anyway) and twice the price.

got submersible pump from clarkes cost£45.00 and lives in my 1000ltr tank in the garage and fills my 650ltr tank in the van in about 10 mins from empty.
got a petrol pump gun on end of hose, 10metres of hose and pressure cut out. nice tidy and convenient

does anyone know if most of the transfer pumps have a pressure switch??  Interested in getting one and putting a fuel gun on the end of it like you have done Mr Genesis-Windows sir

cant remember the name of the company i got the gun from but most pump supply specialists should be able to help.
costs about a tenner.
got any probs sourcing one drop me a line and ill drive past the place and see what i can do

I think that Dave is after a booster pump. My water pressure is very low and I also need a booster pump. Does anyone know where to pick 1 up cheap?

The pressure from my tap is just under 50psi. You could imagine how long it take takes to fill a 25l container. So like I said, I need a booster pump of some type. If anyone could help. Please
