Cranked the heat up on the last few days on the water heater and its making the
water look like a fan jet on standard jets on the white extreme brush.
Not sure if its going to leave spots on the window,but whats happening is the bristles are moving over the jets due to the heat.

Any ideas on how to sort this? (not by turning the heat back down)

make sure the fan jets are facing in correct position first as they move around.on a regular basis
if they are straight then
look where they are catching the water and cut the bristles off.
i had this on extreme white & white radius  sill brush , only way to sort it is to look at fans spray radius and cut off the offending bristles.

i look at the bristles i cut off and see the £££ on the floor!

Don't press down too hard on the brush as it will deform the bristles with very hot water.

To reset the bristles, submerse it in near boiling water, just the bristles, not the stock. Voila, brush fixed.

Yeah same here, i either just pull the offending ones out or just cut back. My extremes dont last too long, but i am heavy handed with mine.

I would call Alex G, as that brusg sound not fit for what your wanting, I am sure they will have one that is made for this

These brushes are as heat proof as it's going to get. It's unlikely that you were using your system at over 80c. The bristles just need resetting. Don't press down as hard, once in a while reset the bristles. Job done. Basically exactly what Alex would say.

Whilst all of our bristle material is rated to certain temperatures, it will still have an effect upon the splay of the bristles in use. Naturally with much hotter water the bristle will splay more than when used with warm or cold water, this is particularly true of the Xtreme brush as it only has four rows of bristles. I have quoted below some of what we have on the Hot Water Brush page on our website:

Using Hot Water with the Super-Lite Brush Range

.....The good news is that our bristles are all already of the highest quality material which is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 80°C. We have tested all of our bristles types on all of our brushes in varying temperatures of hot water to find out their temperature compatibility range. We have compiled this as an easy to view chart for reference.

Whilst all of our bristles can technically resist hot water up to 80°C the softer bristle brushes (Xtreme soft, Sill soft) will deform if used with water that is too hot for them, as combined with the pressure of use it will make them flatten as the bristles become softer when hot.

If using a brush with hot water then it may be worth choosing a bristle type that is one bristle version stiffer than you like using with cold water. This will give you a similar 'feel' on the glass when using hot water. For instance if you currently like using a Soft Radius-Sill brush then for use with 50°C water you would need to choose the medium bristle version to achieve the same 'feel' on the glass.

It is worth noting that if, with extended use, the bristles start to 'flatten out' with hot water it will be because of the following:

It has exceeded the temperature range of the bristle type, or

The brush has been used with excessive force for the bristles in combination with hot water.

Bristles that have 'flattened' out like this can simply be 're-set' by submersing just the bristles (but not the stock) in near boiling water for 10 to 20 seconds. This will return the bristles to their original shape. They can then be left to cool with bristles facing up and can be used again as normal when cool.

The Ionics brush bristles are the identical material as the Super-Lite range of brushes and perform exactly the same in hot water testing.

The only real difference here would be in the performance of the Xtreme brush as it has so fewer rows of bristles. The solution would be to go to one of our standard Super-Lite DT brushes which has twice as many rows as the Xtreme, but is still a lot lighter than the Ionics.

The Brush is not even a yr old yet and only be using it on luke warm for 3 months or so.I only turned the heat up for a very large first clean,this is when i seen what was happening.Its 1 set of bristles making the problem,might just cut them off

On the Xtreme brushes the bristles are much closer to the jet-holes so this is probably why slight deformation of the bristle is causing this. Easiest thing to do is to trim back this bristle bunch a little shorter.
