Looking at kitting out the van asap and have been looking about getting prices etc.
I have been told the williamson pumps are spot on but what about the Flojet.
The reason i ask this is because Gardiner pole do complete van set up and use the Flojet pumps and if i can get everything from the same place it will be much easier.

Any opinions???

You will get different opinions on both of these but I can say they both do a great job.

Just in case you don't know Craig I am a supplier of WFP equipment. Want a van mount?  My advice is go with Gardiner. Excellent service.. advice ..prices etc. I have seen nothing but good said about them and I can tell you that their prices are very keen indeed. NO BS from them. Just good honest down to earth service and goods at the right price.

Just in case anyone might suspect this advice I have no ties at all or anything to gain from you dealing with Gardiner.

The only thing that I would add to any system if it isnt already fitted is a Varistream MK2 flow controller. Worth their weight in gold I reckon. Will allow you to control your flow very well and will protect your pump pressure switch from burning out whichever make you have.


Keep it simple Craig. You wont do any yourself any harm at all by dealing with Gardiner mate

I've read and heard so many different things lately about different pumps and set ups i'm getting a little confused.
The backpack i use is Shurflo and it's brilliant but i'm getting more work so need a bigger set up.
The kit from Gardiner dosen't have a Varistream but was looking at one before Xmas so will probably get that to add to it.
Maybe i should have asked if anyone had many problems with the Flojet

I have never seen anyone complain at all about Flojet pumps. They are high quality products. We fit the Shurflo 100 PSI to our trollies but wouldnt bat an eyelid at having to use Flojet if we had to.

Anyway if you get a Varistream it will protect either make of pump very well.

errrrrr  PS.. as we buy so many Varistreams from Williamson Pumps as and when you want one give me a shout..  I will get you a great deal     Ohh bu..er its almost midnight and I am still selling!!!

The only reason i'm looking at van mount is because of the amount of water to carry.
My backpack i cart about on a sacktruck & carry it when going through peoples houses & purify my water into a water butt.
Otherwise i don't have a problem. I'm quite happy working as i do but think it's too much for the backpack. I have a second backpack as a spare but think i need something that can cope better.
I am hopefully quoting on an building (offices) which i will need a long pole than the 18foot i have and think the backpack will struggle pumping water up a longer pole.
I thought about trolley systems but like i said heard so many different things & to be honest i'm not really sure what i need.
Obviously i want something that will cope with my work increase.
