Bank transfers

Its time i got into the 21st century and start taking online payments.
Just wanted to know how do you all let your customers know this facility is available to them.
Do you ask them and then supply them with your bank details, or have all your bank details on your " windows have been cleaned " slips.

All details are on my slips chap - bank details, PayPal address etc..

Same here, quite a few customers prefer online payment, about 40% of mine pay direct to bank, still got one or two paying by paypal which I'm trying to convert.

Hi Steven,our slips have our bank details on and gradually our customers have got the message-nice to see when you log in that there has been a steady trickle of payments! ;D

Thanks for all the replies fellas,
At the moment i leave a stamped addressed envelope, for cheque payment.
But with the cost of stamps ever increasing, envelopes printing etc, it must cost 50p per envelope.
Which has initiated me to change my incoming payments.
So all i need to inform the custys is ...

Account name ....

Sort code .....

Account number ....

Customer reference ....

Is that it

and maybe the bank you are with, although the sort code tells the banks that some custards like to know all the info

and a point you may wish to make is that it is not just for internet, can pay over the counter or with phone banking

I've never put a stamp on my envelopes fella - you should stop that

50% of my customers prefer online banking and have done away with paypal and still have the odd cheque about four a month, mainly cash payers with some owing etc  ;D ;D

little tip.get the customer to text you when paid so you can identify their payment online if they dont show their reference until you get a paper statement through the post! ;) ;D ;D

ditto, but i also pay £2.50 plus vat for the bank to text me every day there is activity  in my account, worth it for me

 i just want a bit of inspiration designing a new slip. want it to look professional & informative

also, what size & do you have them printed or self print

not got it to hand to put on puter but i can send you a pdf?

i personally use an a6 size (1/4 of a4) so not lost and i do it as a mini invoice
