Charge an amount which compensates for your hatred of doing them.  If somebody takes you up on your quote then you won't feel so bad.  If you need the work then just suck it up marine.

I hate stairs, by the way, which I can't charge much for either way.

Only 18 months ago I used to charge £75 for a 5 seat combination and like everyone else I hated doing them, so thanks to the advice on here it's now £125 like it or lump it and most lump it

Quite probably but as I like to take 2 / 2.5 hours to do it properly then I don't need bad backs for £30/hour. And that doesn't mean you don't do it properly, it's just I find them time consuming and finicky never mind the risks.
Some years ago I just misted a sofa after vacing it (call it cheating but all it needed was a vac and deod applied) and the thing turned pink along some of the edges after I'd left, and I'm not joking when I said it was just misted. It would have been totally dry within 20 minutes without any assitance.

Your ability to sell will ultimately get you YOUR best price, confidence is key and also being able to talk the hind legs off a donkey I did a G plan 3 pc 5 cushion today albeit a bit out of my normal service area for £196.00 this isn't my normal cleaning price but I could sense the customer wanted my service and I just sold myself to her, going back to clean the full house in a couple of weeks time.

How long does it take you to clean 1 when you are charging £75.? Those of you that are charging £75??

Round our way its being advertised at £38 for a full sofa. I like older sofas that have a good airflow. Makes job much easier, and dare I say it slightly more enjoyable.

I've just increased my upholstery cleaning price, as round here a 3 seater sofa can be friggin enormous !!

I bet they chuck the covers in the machine when customer isnt looking.
I know someone not too far from you that does exactly that.
I keep telling him he will get a shrinker. He has had 1 in 6 years so just gonna run with it he says!!!
