There's a trace of bitterness in many of your posts New LT ... you don't seem a very happy person. Just sayin'.

Spoken like a true jw ;)No reason for bitterness here matey, absolutely no need for any.

Not sure where being a "jw" comes into it New LT but generally I believe the old adage of "out of the hearts abundance the mouth speaks" and what you speak on here shows an unhappy person inside.
It's a game of three halves!

It's ashame that a supplier has left the forum, but in this case it might be in his best interests. I was interested I his gutter vac systems, but when I read his posts about about Gardiner poles and also reckoning that the only reason people purchased from them was because of a shared faith it made me question his business ethics and I looked elsewhere. What a supplier says on a forum can have a far greater impact for the good or bad on their business than a window cleaner. It's ashame he's gone though because other than having digs at Alex G, when not having digs he tried to help out with good advice.

Simon.

I didn't know that Craig was as overt as to say that (bit in red) - I notice that he and New LT are among the first on here to criticise jw's - I just guess that is down to their bad experiences.

I suppose the posts have been deleted - but I can only speak for myself and say hand on heart that when I bought my first SLX I didn't have a clue about Alex Gardiner's religious beliefs. Never met him.

It's nice to know that a jw is highly spoken of in business terms but it doesn't influence me one jot as to whether I place orders with Gardiners. It's all down to quality product and of customer service. If they goof up and it affects me then I'll say.
It's a game of three halves!

Craig made a few snipes about people only buying from him because of their religious beliefs, he must think that we are all brain washed into being jw's and therefore brainwashed into buying gardiner products. He was very bitter towards Gardiners but always denied it. His facelift pole advert on his site sums him up really, has to resort to petty snipes.

For what its worth I spoke to Craig today and the reason he deleted hes account was beacuse the froum owners wanted to charge him £300 for having a link to his web site for 12 months

Hi Guys,

That's correct other suppliers do have to pay for the privilege of having their signature link, it's only fair that all are treated the same.

Thanks.

Are there any other suppliers left? I think they have all been driven off, all apart from you know who, that is..

Aquadapters.

I think to be successful as a supplier on this forum you need to be helpful, have good forum social skills, good written communication skills and be able to take criticism well.

I don't think Craig did well in many of these departments; but that's just my opinion.

Gardeners, although not an official forum advertiser do well because they have an excellent product (their poles) - and the members do the advertising for him - and Alex is a helpful guy.  He can take criticism well also and can 'argue' a point politely and explain himself well.

Why not just delete the signature link?

No, I reckon he has spat his dummy or even more likely has thought better of his recent spats, and given himself a cooling off period. The most recent row was his fault bi proxy because of his silly snipes at Gardiners.

Well Lee, if you read my post you would see I said "... what you speak on here ... " - just go back and read your posts - they seem to contain many snipes, digs and a mocking attitude.

I always think the best way of proving you have found a better way in life is to lead a better life. If you do then your natural contentment will shine through.

Personally I have no idea what religion Alex is nor do i care. He supplies fab equipment, innovates all the time and his customer service is second to none. That's all I care about.

D woods has gone now. Fairs fair in business i suppose, but he will be a big loss to this forum.
He (and a few others too) have fairly unique business information to offer which can't just be replaced.
It takes time to acquire his kind of experience which he shared freely on here for years.
