hose reels
« on: February 22, 2012, 07:13:22 pm »
Does anyone have any ideas how I could set a hose reel up so that I could set it in my van so that i could work either out the side or back of my van, I need it to carry at least 30 metres and i can't have one mounted on the walls as i only have a wooden bulk head so I'm guessing a wall mount one would rip through it.
Was thinking something like this, but adapted for high pressure hose

What do you reckon?
 Any ideas?

or maybe a normal hose reel with 1 of these screwed to the floor of the van?

Do a search for Cox reels, they should have something.

Is your tank right up into the corner there where it is now mate? Sure you can get the same reel as ours bolted to the cage on the tank. Piece of flat bar behind the bars, and nip them up. The reel bolted to the cage in the Transit hasn't moved for 3 years.

Roger, thanks, just had a look now, i reckon I'd be talking massive money from them for something that will hold 30 metres, are they pricey?
Lee, yeah I can do that mate but i wanted something on a swivel, so I could pull the hose out the back as easy as the side

That reel looks good. You could do what lee says and mount it on your tank but just make up a swivel plate to mount it on.

Not sure of cost Kenny as mine were with the H&S set-up we had.
I had over 60mts on ours if I needed, so they might do a small capacity reel if only 30mts needed. I not sure but I seem to remember dual-pumps might be the UK agent.
The only other place I can think of is Tech-Clean as they used to do a wall mounted reel.
