One reason I get paid by bacs rather than set date each month is mentally I prefer to get paid after I've cleaned.
Direct payments are almost level with cheques now for me, plus, you save at least a week waiting time, as if you receive cheque Monday, maybe bank Friday, then not cleared till weds!

I've told custys who now doing s/o, you don't have to pick the date I clean you can choose the date you get paid etc r watever suits them

Standing order won't work for those that have a full book and don't work in all weathers,majority of people don't like paying for a clean before it is done.

That's a bit strong,if a disagree wi someones opinion a don't come on and say they are talkin bs,a wid maybe offer an alternative view,a suppose you think you are one o the gods on here,your way or no way!!

A do mine 4 weekly so BACS is best for me,a wisny knockin the s/o way of doin,just pointin out some of the problems I and others might have with it.There are probably pluses and minuses whatever way you choose,what works best for you and your customers is best a suppose

agree with you.  some people seem to forget politeness on forums.  no need for it.

If we can't collect the money at the time of doing the job or get them to leave it somewhere around the back then we usually try to arrange for them to post a cheque if we leave a SAE.  Some of them take a really long time to send the cheques though.
