Hi William,

Wound or unwound makes no difference at all.

Thanks, Sair.  That answers my question really.  I think I'm heading into microbore country soon.

I dont think there is such an animal but, has anyone got any ideas if there is an auto retract reel that will take 30m of microbore, I have serached the web extensively but got nout.

I am aware of the hozelock ones but apperently they are rubbish and in addition wont take that capacity.

Thanks

Maybe an electric powererd rewind hose would work better as used in air products.

I did think about this but dismissed it as being too complicated, however I wasnt aware they were already being used. Maybe with a base product it could be possible.

I got my new 6mm hose on the go today and WOW what a difference
it is so much easier to use, lighter you can work quicker, and you can fit so much more on a reel
the only thing i regret is that i should of got is a lot sooner rather than spend money on standard bore hose,so if anyone is considering it then i highly suggest you get it now,it WILL be money very well spent,Gaz

Not sure if this is helpful but I use:
Pure freedom trolley as a van mount.
30m of minibore on a reel and then attached to it, 50m of Aquadapta red pole hose. Yep pole hose. So 80m in total.
My controller is set to 32 and I get a good curtain of water with hardly any pressure problems.
I've used this for over a year now and seems ok.
