NCCA Training

Hi Guys

I am thinking of joining the ncca and doing the required training its over two days have been carpet cleaning for about 4 years and i am a bit worried that it might be a bit over my head.

I have a good grasp of cleaning proceedues and the right ph for the right carpet type.

Any body who has been on the course recently can give me any idea what to expect want to see something for training and membership will cost me abouy £500.00 all in i think

Wouldn't bother if your confident enough, spend
it on some new gear instead.
£500 is a lot of money for a 2 day course.

I admire your thinking Oliver.  Even if you've previously done some "recognised" training you don't have anything to lose... sometimes it does good to refresh your memory.   And if you haven't done any official course up to now you would definitely have an eye-opening experience!  Not saying you're doing anything badly at the moment but it's amazing how differently you can see yourself and your business.

How about joining www.tacca.co.uk as well?  It's free to join, no catch, and the bonus with that is members are currently being offered heavily discounted training courses approved by IICRC

think you have to book the courses by close today, but the upside is paul pearce is doing the training and he does the ncca as well so you are getting same course same trainer for a fraction of the price.

I thought that you had to have passed a recognised training course to join tacca ??

you can register with TACCA, (personal name and email is all thats required) this will give you discounted IICRC and alltec training courses, then after that you can apply for membership if you so wish. yes this offer ends today, but who knows, maybe alltec will extend the offer, bit like dfs  ;D

ps... so just to clarify john, you don't have to be a member to get discounted training, just registered. so no excuse now eh!!!   ;) ;D

Oliver, trust me you have nothing to worry about.

People who have never cleaned a carpet in their life, or for that matter even own any carpet cleaning equipment can and have passed the NCCA course  ::)

The NCCA exam is passed by people who have never cleaned a carpet in their life so with 4 year experience you'll be ok!

The problem would be, you`ll get frustrated at people asking, what you would perceive as daft questions, blethering on and holding thing up. It`s always good to do courses. Good luck.

Doing the ncca course is good for one thing a selling tool.
And dont worry my 10 year old son can pass that test.

True, I am a living example who over five years on is running a business, BUT, the NCCA course gave me confidence, a method to follow and since then has paid for itself in terms of enquiries which have turned into paying jobs, not to mention the contacts to call for help when things do go wrong, as they will!

The ncca course teaches you a lot of basic fundamentals about the products that you are dealing with on a day to day basis. After completing the course take home the manual and continue to use it for reference. Training is a very important aspect of our jobs and very valuable. Get as much training as you can afford to do it will also help you to spend the money more wisely on choosing the correct equipment.
