Looking in to accepting plastic...

Is it best to go with your bank or are there some 3rd party companies offering a good deal at the moment?

try adelante.co.uk I can accept payment directly through my phone. It's a bit pricier but well worth the less hassle than carrying a terminal around with you.

Im with payatrader only took one payment to date and the money was in my account the following week. Took about 24 hours to be up and running and only cost around £50 ish to set up.

They have a mobile terminal option now as well.

I’ve got a tendency in trusting people BACs then no one pays the rip off merchants  ;)

I pay 29.99 a month (plus vat) plus pennies every transaction, with a mobile terminal, and no extra for a merchant account.

Payatrader... its cheap and it works... no PDQ machine... you can either phone the transaction through to their offices, use a laptop which has a virtual terminal on your login page, or simply use your smart phone!

You are lookng at  just under 3% commission on the charged figure... thats it

Thanks for the advice guys I think Ill give Payatrader a whirl. Looks relatively easy to incorporate on my 3G as well as the ability to call the office to accept payments. Just the ticket!!

Then payatrader pay it on the next Thursday after that, so it's 7 to 13 days depending which day you take the money.

Hi guys,

Payatrader has just put another offer up with CLEANITUP.

Apply and use code CLEANITUP to save 25%. This means you pay £74 to join and not £99.

When you join the only fees you pay are for transactions. There is no monthly rental, minimum usage charges or contractual commitments. Nor do you have to apply for a separate merchant account! In all, it's a great deal!

You get a FREE payment button to download to your website, FREE virtual terminal and your customers can call our 24/7 contact centre.

Anyway, it's great to hear some of you guys are already members! Please spread the word.
Best
Linda
