Contract: Cleaning
Work Area: Office Accommodation, Utility and Reception Area
Description: Evening Clean 5pm ? 8pm
Daily Tasks
- Empty waste bins and remove refuse to designated area
- Spot clean to all glazed areas and steel finishes
- Ensure designated kitchen area is free of crockery and placed in dishwasher
- Ensure that kitchen surfaces / areas are clean
- Spot check exterior of Fridges, Microwave, and Dishwasher
- Sweep / damp mop resilient floor surfaces
- Brush / vacuum carpeted floor areas
Weekly Tasks
- Damp wipe all levels of window sills
- Dust all horizontal surfaces to hand height (surfaces that are clear of items clutter)
- Damp wipe / buff finger plates, kick plates and doors
- Damp wipe laminate and other furniture
- Lift loose matting & brush / vacuum / mop floor underneath

Monthly Tasks
- Damp wipe telephones on the last Friday of each month
- Damp wipe all low level areas on desks and chairs
- Spot clean upholstered furniture to remove stains and spillages if required
- Vacuum upholstered furniture
- Clean internal fridges on the last Friday of each month (no food items will be desposed of, items will be
removed from the fridge for the clean then placed back in). Customer needs to control out of date
food/beverage items.
Special Requirements / Hazards / Security Arrangements
- Carpet Cleaning Machines if required to remove spillages
- Care must be taken so cables do not cause trip hazard during clean.
About the buyer's selection process: The CSJV will review all opportunity responses and narrow down
prospective companies to a shortlist of between 3 and 5. At this point we will then contact the successfully
shortlisted companies and continue the tender
procedure by issuing enquiry documents.

About the buyer: The Costain Skanska Joint Venture forms part of the Crossrail Framework.
Crossrail is the new high frequency, convenient and accessible railway for London and the South East. From
2017 Crossrail will travel from Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east
via new twin tunnels under central
London. It will link Heathrow Airport, the West End, the City of London and Canary Wharf.
Crossrail will make travelling in the region easier and quicker. It will reduce crowding on London's transport
network. It will operate with main line size trains, carrying more than 1500 passengers in each train during
peak periods.
Crossrail will deliver substantial economic benefits in London, the South-East and across the UK. The estimated
benefit of Crossrail to the UK economy is at least #36 billion (TfL figures, May 2006).
Royal Assent was given to the Crossrail Act in July 2008 giving Crossrail Ltd the authority to build the railway.
Preliminary works commenced during 2009. Main construction will start in 2010.
