can anyone recommend a glue for sticking/sealing the cuffs on my hoses

Use clear silicone.

I have used this and find it degrades with the high temps.

I've got some gorilla glue that I bought for sealing my cool cuffs, it's supposed to be really good stuff but I never had to use it.

Not tried it but maybe the Sticks Like poop stuff its temp & water resistant.

You have to make sure it is fully waterproof not just water resistant. Every truckmount hose I have had has been done using this and you can't get the cuffs off without cutting.

sticks like poop can be applied and goes off under water.

it is more expensive than clear silicone though so like you say John thats probably the way to go.

search screwfix for Evostik "Sticks Like Sh*t"

Fixed my glides on with this stuff a year ago and they haven't budged an inch, whereas with normal silicone I would have had to re-fix them at least once by now.

Also used it for lots of other little jobs and it's bloody good stuff

we have used it to glue metal bond diamonds onto a drive board for lippage removal.

they are still on there despite the clattering they get.

 I always use a hot glue gun. It has quite a lot of uses. For carpet seaming they use hot glue tape and an iron and very often the breakdown may be where the gleu has not melted sufficiently. A hot glue gun is a usefull tool for this. I carry a seaming iron and tape but in most cases the glue guns are all that is needed.
