« on: January 12, 2012, 12:01:43 pm »
Hi everyone,

Bit of market research if you can help me out please.

With most people using WFP these days, is there still much demand for squeegee rubbers?

Thanks!

Has the rubber not perished? they usually perish within about 2 years if not stored correctly. believe it or not they have a shelf life.

I bought in bulk about three months before switching to WFP.  That rubber should last till I retire.
I bought 36" strips.  I didn't realise 42" was available.

Not all brands do 42".

I tend to buy 36" myself as I mostly use an 18" squeegee.

18" x 2

I got a pack of 10 36" ones about 18 months ago & still have some left! Before WFP that would have lasted me about 4 months!

Unger soft 36" in packs of 10, normally buy 3 packs at a time, all my guys use 12" blades when tradding so we get three from a length.  They can last anything from a day to a couple of weeks before they either get nicked or start smearing.

The cost is minimal for the volume of work.

We buy from Soap National 10 x36" lengths for £16.00
