Introduction & Background.
Scarborough Borough Council is to let a 4 year framework agreement for the
cleaning of its Administrative Buildings.
Scope.
One of the key issues for Scarborough Borough Council is to ensure that
the working environment and general public areas are cleaned to a
performance standard. The cleaning services of the eight administrative
buildings within the Borough of Scarborough are therefore essential in
ensuring a clean working environment for the public and officers alike.
The requirements are essentially: to keep the building free from litter,
debris, dust, grit, cobwebs, stains and smears from all surfaces such as
floors, waste bins, horizontal and vertical surfaces, including ledges,
pipework and internal glass walls.
The location to which the contract applies is as follows.

Parking Services Offices, 36A St Nicholas Street, Scarborough.
Northern Area Office, Skinner Street, Whitby.
Whitby Tourist Information Centre, New Quay Road, Scarborough.
Woodlands Crematorium, Woodlands Drive, Scarborough.

York House Offices, King Street Scarborough.
Manor Road Nurseries Manor Road Scarborough.
All areas and all furniture fixtures and fittings and other items required
by this contract are to be cleaned in accordance with the relevant
performance standards and minimum frequency. Each room within the contract
is expected to be cleaned to one of the performance standards. Each room
will be annoted with a number 1-6 in the location information and will be
cleaned to the required standards and minimum frequency. The location
information below indicates the nature of the environment to be cleaned.
