same here, but soon as i noticed i chnged the resin even tho i had no spotting (tested on my own windows to make for sure)

these days im more carefull and dont let it go past 3ppm (rain is 3ppm and that dont cause problems)

A tds of 35 is fine; it's the Fairy Liquid that leaves the spots. Best to blade off after  .

I quite happily let mine go up to around the seven mark and it dries just the same as 000ppm but I have heard that when the weather is hot it can cause spotting at over the three to four mark as it dries much quicker...

some window cleaners like to cut more and more corners.letting tds go up,missing frames,doors,bathroom windows etc,etc.

me?i make sure its 000 virtually all the time and dont cut corners.just piece of mind that ive done the best i can.

why run the risk of spotting?keep it at 000 at all times is my motto.

i like to be as professional as possible when it comes to cleaning as its my livelyhood and reputation thats at stake.why would you risk it for the sake of buying a bit more resin?

I don't think it's about scrimping on resin, more the fact you have a buffer that if your TDS does rise you can continue cleaning.

Remember as money gets tighter we will be one of the first industries to feel it again, so getting every bit out of your resin and your filters makes finacial sense, you know they say "Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves."

Im not fussed much over 010 and have been out with 025 no complaints. It all depends what that 035 is to be fair, probably the worst of the depsots in water have been taken out. You guys worry too much.

Keeping it at 000...you must change your resin monthly if not weekly!

People are brainwashed into thinking zero tds is essential and spending unnecessary money is some kind of badge of honour.

Do you think big business doesnt get the most out of its consumables?

I know plenty of people who used to think zero was essential but they went over for whatever reason and lo and behold the world didnt stop spinning when they used water at 30 tds....

I've used it at 008 before without complaint.  It wasn't intentional.  I took my eye off the ball for a while.  I believe you can clean with a higher tds but it can depend what constituents the number is made up from.

the thing i think makes more of a difference, is weather the window is clean before anyway,  if you use pure on a window for months  one month of a high tds isnt going to make much of a difference

of the tds,using tds over 25ppm you will inevitably hit a problem
at some point.

you are obviously better off keeping your tds as low as possible
but oooppm isnt essential i use anytning up to 15ppm

same exactly. I change around 15, tho it shot up to 25 recently and was fine, we did in and out and was perfect. but happier changing around 15.

As a new comer to WFP I'm still struggling to get things sorted out.  I checked my windows today and on close inspection I found spotting    I've just checked my TDS in the barrel and it's 010.

So I was wondering if my technique could do with improvement.  I read about rinsing off well and I thought I had, I'm using fan jets and I started rinsing off quite close to the glass, today I have been tinkering and tried rinsing off from about 18" away.  The droplets do seem to hit the glass finer from this distance so I'll give it a few hours and see what I've got.  I was rinsing today with my Varistream set to 4 which I assume is about 2.5l a minute.

Any tips would also be appreciated

I would have thought rinsing closer to glass would be better? less splashing around. tho I use pencils......

make sure scrubbed top of frame and rinsed from top down thoroughly. if windows were very dirty or was its first clean with wfp it isn't unusual for spotting.
