« on: December 12, 2005, 06:17:13 pm »
I NEED TO PURCHASE A 30MTR GLASSFIBER POLE FOR A CONTRACT I HAVE SHOULD I GET THE 25CM OR 40CM BRUSH
HAVING NEVER USED A 30MT POLE DONT KNOW IF THE 40CM WOULD BE TO HARD TO CONTROL AT THAT HEIGHT.
ANY IMPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. ???

CHEERS JEFF.

I suspect Jeff means a '30 foot' pole.  I believe Tucker do the largest pole available at 80 foot.

I occassionally use a 30 foot pole (the lightweight I am) and have no problems using a 15" brush head on it.

I wish we'd all go metric; by law.  What's 15" in centimeters?

You can easily use either on a 30ft, I currently have 31ft pole with a 40cm brush head and find it ok, but I have just also made myself a 26ft with a 25cm head and find it much easier.  We supply both sizes on our site.

Ps. If you think you can get away with a 25cm it will give you less wrist fatigue. However if you are using it on large panes of glass the 40cm will clean quicker.

At 30+ft on domestic/light commercial I would prefer approx 28cm 12" brush. The higher you go the harder it gets. Its better to look for 2 storey simple work than go looking for the big harder jobs.

No worries, Jeff.  You're lucky Malc G isn't about.  He's the normal 'monkey on your back', picking you up for tedious stuff.

I suspect he's an ex-school teacher that was sacked for thumping the kids and swearing at them and stuff, 'cos they got their homework dates wrong and things.

Anyway, Jeff, welcome to the forum.

We're mostly human here.  (Apart from Malc G; as I say) ;)
