I was wondering would linking up two vacs make for a faster drying time?
i have a steempro and a wet and dry vac which has 3 vac motors.
would it make any difference.
i have been wondering where to get a "y" piece tube to join them both up.

not saying i would use them all the time but just the odd job.

It's Craig wanting a 'Y' piece.... Not me mate....

Craig, I'm just using a process of elimination and wouldn't have thought for a minute it would be a proper carpet cleaner. You see, my brother in law moved into "The Barn" and said the carpets were wet for 3 days and they stunk. I just want to find the carpet cleaner/DIY enthusiast that cleaned them, to thank them as my brother-in-law's a pr**k.....

All the vacs would have to have the same performance or one would overpower the other.

This has been done successfully ............there was a regular poster on here  a couple of years ago ran two machines one was a Ninja can't remember the other.  He ran them from a little Diahatsu which was big enough to cope and seemed to do very well with the set up.

Solutions sell a small machine which is designed for this purpose for about £600 or so.

Trevor I'm surprised at your comment about the vac balance - Nigel's setup certainly wasn't, and mine was a pair of metal-horned (1400W?) motors in one machine and plastic (1200W?) in the other machine.  The one with the better motors just filled up a little quicker!

waste water in first machine only .

Why would it trip the electrics?

Whenever a custy makes you a cup of tea while you are working its the same as using another porty in terms of power usage.

I have this setup in my van with a raptor and prochem commanche joined together with a Y piece.

Both have 2x3 stage vacs (Commanche has been upgraded from 2x2 stage).

Great power and with the heat from the raptor I find it a great setup.

Commanche always fills up slightly before the raptor probably because the raptor is the taller machine and thus is slightly further away from the y piece than the commanche.

I also use the raptors pump and usually keep it between 200 - 300 psi.

sounds good     four vacs and heat ... what every porty should have
would you seek out two house circuits for all that ?
good you upgraded the 2 stages otherwise total lift would be that of the weakest motor ... 95 instead of 140
so you should have 140" lift and 400 cfm  ...
perhaps using 2" off the Y would be beneficial if you don't already ... or even two lengths of  2" to the door and then the Y
