U havent washed you van with the brush have you?
We cleaned the van once when the van had not long had wax
Applied and the consequences were streaky windows!!
Just a thought.
no not washed the van have thought of that but use a diffrent brush on the motor .

Have the windows got vents above? Do you clean the top of the window frame?
no vents . and ive allways cleaned the tops of the frames .

this is a big NO mike all my customers from when i first started have been told to phone me if there was any problem , its only over the last week ive had any problem i really cant figure out as to whats going wrong .

Well, if you are re-cleaning them and they come up fine then whatever it was has gone away again. Guess you are never going to find out. My guess would be extra filth on the glass from the bad weather, you not noticing it and cleaning normally like we do on a maintenance clean with minimum water when in fact they might need an extra rinse more like a first clean maybe.
Can't be your system if they are coming up ok now.
There were some tremendous winds up north the other week I seem to remember.

another 1 today around 22 miles from the last problem windows so another re-clean (WHATS GOING WRONG ) IM PULLING MY HAIR OUT the little bit ive got left .
IVE rinsed , then rinsed some more and still end up with a problem .
IM not new to wfp and the houses are regular .
ITS the streaks i cant work out where from HELP PLEASE .

can you get hold of another tds meter and check again? Is your transfer pump leaking oil and grease? Algae in either tank?

dave have you cleaned some wooden windows recently ?

you know the ones with the non setting red putty, it sticks to the brush causing all sorts of

problems if not sorted , just a thought

Good point Mike. Maybe change the brush or wash it in strong tfr or a degreaser of some sort.

ive double checked tds and its on 000ppm , theres no leaks from transfer pump and not a drop of oil , as for algee in the tank thats a BIG NO NO .

I no what you meen with the putty mike but ive only 2 houses on my round that have wooden windows and ive done these for years , im going barmy here as i allways give 100 % on my work AND NOW the problems are starting , i just cant seem to find out the cause .

I spoke to one of my customers today whos windows were streaky , he then remembered he had sprayed wd40 on the door lock .
Could wd 40 have got on my brush i wonder ?
Im still awaiting a reply from my relation to see if shes done anything like spray wd 40 on the locks .

ive often worried about getting oil and stuff off of doors actually! im gonna start soaking my brush in pure water overnight a bit more regular i recon like maybe once a week from now on

had a problem like this once when we had cleaned a window which had been recently glazed using silicone.
the silicone got in the brush and loads of windows were left streaky afterwards until we sussed what had happened.

so how would one degrease a brush?
