Cleaning a butchers shop
« on: December 14, 2011, 05:16:49 pm »
Hi,
What would be the best degreaser to use in a deep clean of a butchers shop and cutting plant?
Must be cheap and cheerful but effective!! Job is for a friend and little money changing hands.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Many thanks
Paul

I've never done a butchers ! I'd use my steamer for a start and because you have a protein problem try enz-all in very hot water. We use staples hd degreaser in kitchens. You obviously can't use either in sensitive areas. It'll be interesting to hear other peoples ideas.

Hi

Brillo degreaser is excellent, Selden also do a washroom cleaner which is for heavy duty soiling, Ultrapac Renovate is also a heavy duty cleaner for protein which i use all the time and have just used on a gross filth job.

we do lots of work like this ie abatoirs etc go to www.dasicinter.com they specialise in chemicals for the food industry, the chemical they supply will need diluting to 5% and sprayed onto equipment as a foam, after cleaning you should apply a sanitiser which dasic can also supply if you need any info on the full clean down method give me a bell on 07793322100 and i can talk you through it.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt
