I've been thinking along those lines myself. It would be great if you could adapt it so that you can walk in front of it and steer it. Lets see the pics when you'v got it up and running. DAI

Hi Gaza

At this moment we have an OAP electric chair in my garden and our 'this winter's when we can't work project' is to find a use for it for wpf.

The motor is seriously powerfull and I'm sure there is potential in adapting the thing for wfp.

Cut the thing up and use just 2 wheels for a power driven trolley or similar?

Any idea's you get - please post them as for every idea we get, we find loads of draw backs.

Cheers.

You know what chaps you have all got me thinking, why not build a system around a CAR!!!! then you could just drive up to a customers house, unreel a hose and away you go. When you finish you would just have to reel the hose back up and drive to the next customer!!

Why hasn't anyone thought of that???? ;)

I did think of this, but for the fairer weather, when i first set up my wfp,i was looking atv the atv quad bikes,as they carry the water tanks on the back but obviously would need to addapt something for the pole and hose,i have`nt ruled it out so you never know it may well be seen on the streets next year  ;D,Gaz

I made one from a manual push wheel chair. Its great because you walk/run upright the poles stack upright and it parks great because its 4wd and goes up and down pavements easy.  You could even sit on it (just) if you could find someone to push, I did think of entering the annual pram race in it last Aug. :)
They do folding small powered wheel chairs !
My next proj is a folding elec golf trolley conversion
Gazza dont forget to fit roll over bars for fast cornering- great for a poles rack. perhaps we could start a racing/rallying wfp section - truly the fastest pole operator section with souped up batteries/motors and how about lights for night rallies ?
Not to por cold water on the idea, but dont you need to be 65 ?  :(

Gaz. I havn't taken the pump off as Iwas thinking of getting a 4 wheel trolley from machine mart to put it on.Item no 143300E-146 Has been reduced to 39.95.
or the industial crate wagon, Item no 1003196E-146 at £69.99 would definately take it. You could even tow this round the estate if you were carefull. With 30mtrs on a hose reel it would be like a portable van mount. easier to move around too having 4 wheels. Have a look and see what you think. Dai
