The Open University requires a supplier to provide Cleaning services.
Accommodation is in buildings comprising of two, three or four floors. The
nature of the Campus is such that not all buildings are linked and
thereforetravel time within the campus is a factor. The contract includes
the Mulberry Bears Nursery at Walton Hall and the three buildings at East
Campus (opposite the main entrance to campus). The University occupies 2
warehouses and office accommodation at Dennington Ind Estate,
Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The warehouses are adjacent to each
other but separated by a public road. Both warehouses contain offices,
mess rooms, toilets and warehouse areas.
Areas to be cleaned will include offices, lecture theatres, common areas
(such as stairs, pantries, corridors) meeting rooms, lifts, cafe and bar
areas, workshops, some laboratories, warehouses and sports facility areas.
Additionally internal and external window cleaning (pole cleaning system
provided by the University) and, on an annual basis, external free
standing signs, window frames, soffits and guttering.
