Petrol or Diesel
« on: December 06, 2011, 11:23:18 pm »
Hi Guys
Im after new pressure washer and thinking now between petrol and diesel. (Been using petrol for last few years)
My main concern is power/performance. Which one is better performance wise?

Petrol
Powered by a Honda GX 13hp, driven via a reduction gearbox to a 1450rpm Interpump plunger pump to deliver 250bar at 15 Lpm

Or

Diesel
Lombardini 6.8hp diesel engine with recoil start. Interpump plunger pump  185bar at 13 Lpm

Thanks

Diesel is 80p/ltr - petrol is £1.40. With the two you quote the petrol will out perform the diesel. I have a 14hp Lombardini running 220 bar @ 21 ltr and have been very happy with it - 8 hours on about £12. Its better to save and buy a better machine as my new machine has paid for itself in fuel savings in the first season

ive got a honda gd411 9hp diesel for sale with an interpump w965 running at 3600psi (250bar) at 15 litres a min, on a weston bowser if your interested? would cost about £8 a day to run and would give the same performance as the honda 13hp that your looking at

Two bolts - 19mm spanners as you only need the actual hitch not the whole coupling. If not I've got the whole single bar hitch in my container

It's probably cheaper/easier to convert your tow bar to a ring hitch mate
