I've had a Sebo duo and an Oreck Orbitor... Then I acquired a Host CRB.... The difference is amazing... Don't bother with pathetic little agitators, save up and buy a proper machine....

that doesn't have the weight to scrub a carpet , if you push down on it to dig it into the carpet then you'll burn out the motor, it won't do the job you want

If you think that you are going to get anywhere near the result with a pile brush or rake compared to a crb machine that costs a lot of money then you are kidding yourself. Obviously a pile brush is going to be better than nothing but always buy the best that you can afford and keep moving forward. The ultimate is a flexi 5 but I have a long shpping list.

Used to have the Envirodri gen 4, now use the Host reliant very good machine heavier and bigger than the sebo duo and much easier to change the brushes than the Envirodri

I use a 40cm multiwash, and quite often people have said to me after prespraying and agitation: "That was quick, how long will it take to dry?"
If the difference between a brush and sebo duo is 10 fold, the difference between sebo and crb is 100x (in my opinion of course)

Philip that machine may be old but it's the best contrarotating machine out there and far better then a host or Gen4 etc (I've had all of them) new ones are on ebay for £1600 which I refuse to pay!

well iv'e just found a few alan key bolts on my drive plate i thought it was all solid metal made in 1 but iv'e undone the alan keys and now iv'e took the holding plate off the drive plate and i could fix that to a brush only now i need to know how soft i need the brush to be cause i have one but the bristles are stiff and the weight of my machine on them brushes wish rip a carpet to shreds i think so any suggestions on a 17" brush that will be fine for agitation? and good on blacktop.

Buy the dry fusion brush it my cost more but is designed to do the job you want with your machine if you think its to expensive then try £95+vat for a replacment belt for a flexi 5
