« on: November 24, 2011, 06:35:41 pm »
can any of you guys recommend a good pump up sprayer there seem to be a lot out there, at varied prices, i have one but it doesnt seem to spray that well(not very powerful). Are they all kind of the same or can you get some powerful ones, without going electrical.

My preference is the Orion when using LM other than that in-line comes out at 300psi I think well that’s what I set it too

I use 2 litre hand pump sprayers from Wilko

they cost peanuts, you don't mix too much solution up and therefore waste it

when they break they are not expensive to replace  £2.50 each

my current ones have been on the go since march this year so don't owe me owt any more...

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

The WCW battery ones are great.

If determined to stick with pump-up then go for IK6 or IK9 from Solo Sprayers: -

www.solosprayers.co.uk

There is a guy that upgrades these on here, John Kelly I think. Search him on here.

I'll second the IK series of sprayers. Use them for my acids, also g as you rinse them out, they are the nuts.

I wouldnt go near the  IK6 or IK9 brands. Bought one costing approx £80 (10 or 12 ltr, cant remember which one) thinking it must be quality and it lasted 5 months. The shaft bent because its too weak (bit pathetic really).

I bought matabi in the end, much stronger & much cheaper. I had a few before and they lasted about 8yrs.

I've got gloria sprayers dating back over 14 years.  Yes some of the plastic bits break but the essential parts keep on working, they're built like tanks.  You just have to do a little bit of maintenance every now and then.
