My garden tap has VERY low pressure...doesn't even register on gauge.

So. use Clarke CBM240 booster, and still doesn't register on gauge.

All of this results in poor performance from RO, and lots of resin.

Is there any way to increase pressure to the garden tap, or is there another solution?

you will need something like a header tank.

a high water butt or similar will give you the 200l of pressure to the pump. and just have your tap fill the butt all day.

how low is the water flow of your tap, how many litres per minuite.

Spoke to June at Gaps and she suggested this may be a solution after I have changed garden tap to see if that helps.

Don't know lpm but will check it.

If the supply is poor to the header, would I be left with the system cutting out and waiting to refill all the while!

check that ur garden tap is on the mains,  and not from the header tank in loft as will be crap pressure

whats the water speed/presure from the other taps in your house.

if they are good then there must be a plumbing problem to your outside tap.

do you have combi boiler, or a tank in the loft with an immersion tank

There should be a stop cock in the front of your house - might be in the front lawn, on your drive or on the pavement. When you find it make sure the valve is fully open. Check the one in your house too (usually under the sink).

it sounds like water flow and pressure are both bad.

check as mentioned above that the tap is not faulty and runs straight from mains. if all tap pressure is poor it would be worth ringing up your water supplier. I rang mine(Welsh water) as mine was poor, they increased it from 1.75 bar to 3 bar. apparently they used to aim for 5 bar but to minimise leaks they keep it lower now. however there is still a minimum pressure and flow rate they legally have to provide. sounds more like you have problem with plumbing tho, as its so low.
