I have tested the cfr alonside my prochem tool and have not seen any noticable diference in performance. The cfr however is considerably heavier and very often we are doing 100 s of seats at a time and I think that having that in my hand over a long period would create a lot more fatigue.
I also have a drimaster tool which does give better results and drying times than the prochem and is in my opinion a much nicer tool. It is lighter nice to use and the fact that it does not have a trigger makes it nice tool use for long periods.
I would like a vs sapphire as I have heard glowing reports from people who do big volume upholstery and know what they are talking about. Unfortunately I do have a very long shopping list so will defer the decision as I already have 4 diferent tools.

Let's just say if you have a portable you'll get on with it a lot better than with a truckmount.

Also if your last upholstery tool was made in the shape of a starfish and you could only use it whilst standing on your head when the moon is in capricorn, you'd probably find the sapphire easy to use and well designed.

However if you expect top quality, well-designed equipment when you're paying those sorts of prices........

I've said too much already, Simon will come and shout at me now!   :-X :-*

Jim is talking absolute and complete rubbish. We have used them on thousands and thousands of chairs, not just the odd suite here and there. ;)

Simon is talking absolute and complete rubbish, I have extensively used the tool for exactly the same domestic type of work that 99.99% of other carpet cleaners will be using it for ;)

Jim,
Your hose collapsed so you automatically think the whole tool is rubbish. If you really had put it through its paces across a wide range of different fabrics and seating configurations and not just domestic use your assessment would have some credibility, as it stands you've cleaned a few suites with it, big deal. But I accept you don't like it which is fair enough.
I love it

Simon, I have put it through its paces thank you very much, I use it almost daily, and not just on easy to clean commercial seating.

The whole tool leaves much to be desired from a design perspective - it has been designed by an imbecile and certainly wasn't tested for truckmount use before its launch.  The vac hose collapsing is just one of its design faults, and one of the few that's actually addressable.

If you could take the vacuum slot off the sapphire and add it to the drimaster 2 you'd have the perfect upholstery tool.  So until then....
