Just looked at my new poles, and the supplier as put 2  nozzle jets in, he said they are the best. The water just squirts out straight.

Are these the best type for cleaning?

we reckon so, and so do nearly all of the manufacturer/users out there.

Except those that use fan jets ;)

My system is one of Peter Fogwill's, the spray jets he uses are superb and cover the entire width of the brush.
I read one reply on another post with rregards to fan jets that they cannot really deliver enough water per minute for large comercial work.
Poppycock!
It can blast out water at a faster rate than I can work with, and with the entire width of the brush covered, more if you lift off to rinse then you don't have to waggle the two needle jets around to get up into the corners, or track along the top edge of the glass.
When I was using it with my trolley system I had to turn the flow rate down, I could end out using over 20 litres in ten minutes, and that wasn't set to flat out either, and only a 60 psi pump too.

Whether you use fan or needle, and I'm not sure, but I am sure I have read that Peter Fogwill machines his own jets, users tend to love what they are used to, both do a good job.

And it does depend on nossle design at apature size!
The larger the bore hole, regardless of shape and the more water will be pumped out.
2 litres a minute through jets that have a reletively large bore could still come out at a horrible trickle (worst case that is) whereas 2 litres a minute through a very small bore hole would need a powerful pump to achieve. And quite regardless of whether it was a needle jet or a fan jet too.

Alex,
I'm really interested in the yellow microbore, and would love to get 100 metres to replace the standard hose I am using at the moment, as you will have read, I use fan jets and a 60 psi pump, is that suitable to use over that length of hose and still retain a good flow rate?
Or would I need to upgrade my pump to a 100psi one?

Regards,

Ian

Hi Ian,

We currently use 100 metres with a 60 psi pump with 2x 2mm jets (and 2x 3mm jets on some poles) with no problem at all.

Alex, can you still use the Varisream with that micro bore hose? Dai

We have never used it personally as we find that a varistream is superfluous to our systems needs. But we understand that others do use it and have no problems, other than turning the varistream up a bit.

We dont need a varistream as we use Flojet pumps, which are very sturdy, Microbore which doesn't allow ridiculous amounts of water to be pumped through, and flow control valves on every pole hose.
