Every taxi on Teesside is a Doblo, we have 5 fiats, all fantastic, the engines does not need to be opened for 250,000 miles, thats why taxi use them a lot, just my oponion, yes 30 years ago they were rubbish, but not the last 10

Never heard of a 1.5dci Doblo.

Mines a multijet 1.3 on a 56 plate and I've had it five years. It's fine.

2004 were different engines and lower payloads, but they were much improved on an 06 plate plate onwards - van of the year for 2006. Mines a 736kg payload.

The latest ones 2010 onwards, are 750kg or optionally 1000kg.
It's a game of three halves!

mines a 2006 1.3 multijet, get 40mpg + with a 500 litres in the back, just went through the mot with no advisories the only fault i can find is that it doesnt have a cup holder, my mechanic said they are excellent, the only problem he can see is the front two tyres wear down really quickly so best to keep them around 38

Cup holder.... ;D too right, it's a pain at times as there is virtually no level surface in the cab either!!

Other niggle is the sun visors- funny shape & don't turn to the side! ;D

maybe the mechanics wrong but he sure knows more than me as he gets his fair share of fiat vans in his garage.he s a top bloke and he never rips anybody off.he has a very good reputation.

i like the look of the connects better than the doblos but hey its just a work van plus their usually cheaper to buy.

starM anybody with half a brain would see that i very rarely post crap on here although maybe im guilty this time round! ;D ;Dyour always quick to have a go at nearly every post of mine!!you not having a good day today? ;D ;D ;D ;D :P :P

window cleaners knowing more than mechanics now......priceless!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

my post wasnt supposed to be "my vans better than your van" type of thing like some childish retort!i was simply stating the fact that fiats in some peoples eyes are still rubbish!!

do they do doblos with an 800kg payload?as my next van will have that as a minimum payload.am i right in thinking most have a 725kg?

im not overly impressed with my kangoo.it was a cheap last min buy as i needed a van quick!i wont be getting another one thats for sure!! ;D ;D

the doblo i have is 725kg payload but they did a higher payload version which can carry 850kg, the new doblo is 750kg or 1000kg for the lwb.

if you wanna be ignorant dazmond and listen to hear say from some grease monkey mechanics or whoever with the all "fiats are crap" thats your choice just dont expect to be taken seriously, wasnt long ago you thought trad was better than wfp

dont regret for one minute buying my doblo its the best van i've had.
