Why is he determined to have a go at kevin Martin ??
well i first met Amir over twenty years ago at a cleaning show at the NEC brummie land ... he was chemspec then and still is
then he was in to wood restoration and had a stand , i attended as a younger enthusiastic window cleaner, carpet cleaner office cleaner, in fact i was sad i just loved cleaning, but never made any money because i lacked business sense, although i had about 15 cleaning staff.
my brief encounter with Amir was this strange looking long haired guy who had a stand at the carpet and window cleaning show
it was to be another ten years later at a stone show that i met him again selling Klindex equipment Italian floor grinding products and chems amonst other things such as floor prep equipment,, i was looking for a niche at that time as carpet cleaning was saturated and competition fearse everyone was cleaning windows or carpets or selling chems.. as is the case today even more competitive...
I spoke to Amir got some information and went away.. i pondered this new opprotunity so aproached Amir and done some training with him going into london up to manchester to see him work on real jobs grinding and polishing stone .
indeed he helped me on a few of my jobs after buying some gear from him,,
after that i went to Italy and met Ercole one of the brothers that own the company and spoke at lengh over a couple of drinks about an opportunity to set up another distribution in the uk ,
when i returned needless to say Amir was not happy about competition, and i soon became the victim of many odd emails..
im decided that Amir had baught over klindex to UK and that i would just do the work and was no longer interested in dealing machines,
ironically although Amir was selling klindex he always said he did not want the market to become saturated, i agreed with that..
what he really did not want was competition , and so why all this now?
simply some one said on here that he was a nutter, no he is not a nutter but a quite a clever man,, bullpoops from time to time , but mostly he is jeolous that kevin martin is selling klindex too, and that with Klindex there is no exclusivity to the market which is another risk i did not want, stonegate know that..
in fact if you want to purchase machines and get a good deal go direct..
firstly though i want to tell anyone on here that a few training courses are ok but it takes years and years to get experience of all the problems facing stone tradesmen restorers, i can say that with many years behind me that i know nothing and learning is every day.. a challenge, an adventure full of stress to get each job right , no two jobs the same,,
most days i come home looking white and full of dust and slurry in my hair my ears my nose. everywhere oh the joys of stone work , lol
