... just needing to know what to order and how to go about it.

so this is the set-up right?
pipe goes from backpack
join onto hosepipe
removerable join (hozelock?) which...
join onto trigger that came with backpack
join onto pipe that goes up to brush

i'm wondering what joiners i need to get and from where?
seems like a lot of joins of different size hoses.
go on whats your water-tight tip?

help much appreciated.

one mail to screw on the trigger     and a piece of hose with 2 femail ends and that is it    .do not cut the hose as some people reccommend on here.

but if you want the trigger to be at the bottom of your pole (attached) and a length of hose between you and the trolley... the trigger needs to be detached and rejoined no?

i haven't got delivery yet so i don't have it infront of me.

but bit baffled really. is the shurflo pipe small in diameter, therefore needs adapter. do adapters come in different sizes...

That's me!  But I'm not very technically minded.

I cut the hose just beneath the spray and attached a female hoselock attachment and my pole fits straight onto it.

It seems to work fine for me mind.  I have an 18 foot Ionic pole and to stop the pump I just have to 'nip' the thin hose (by putting a 180 degree bend in the hose).

Dave, I'll stop advising people to 'cut the hose' and refer them to you.

I found that with the shurflo, i connected one of those outside garden tap, threaded thingys that screws onto the male hozelock er thingy,just above the trigger worked a treat. Then female-short piece of hose-another female done the job. I took that naff jubilee clip off and replaced with a british one. Just seems to be more practical, should i need to disconnect at any time. Hope this makes sense.

Mines a Shurflo and was supplied with the lance modified by Williamson Pumps. I have shortened the flexi hose to the trigger so that its 'to hand' and added the green connectors at the end so my pole hoses plug straight in.





I reckon you just need 2 of these, a short piece of hose and 'Bobby is yer Uncle'.

If you stick an Autobrush on the end you wont need a trigger.

How does the trigger on the 'autobrush' work? I have seen a couple of shrot videos now:
1. Looks like the valve is operated when you place the brush on the glass.
2. looks like you have a mechanism on each side of the brush head for opening and closing the valve.

Do you get much of a pressure squirt (...ooer mrs)  when you first open the valve.

No, its just the same as when you use a Hozelock type stop.

The brush works as in No. 2 a lever mechanism for switching on and off.
