WFP Questions
« on: November 30, 2005, 09:03:00 am »
Hi
I want to build my own wfp kit but have one or two questions I would really appreciate anyones help.
1 Is it best to manufacture in a garage or have a vanmounted system?
2 if I leave the water filtering overnight how do I stop the tank from overflowing?

Im sure I have more questiions but these Are the ones I can think of at the moment. Just Woke up! ;D

I feel that a lot depends on the type of work that you do and whether you live/work in a hard or soft water area.  I assume you live in an area where the water is fairly hard as you are talking about overnight filtering.  Ideally it might be better to have a choice by using both methods.  That way, if you are working a long way from home and need more water than you can carry, you can hook up on site and make water while you work to save driving home for more.  A lot depends on your circumstances really.

Hi Lee,

Question 1. It is far more cost effective to produce water into a large holding tank at home, because the smaller RO unit is able to work more efficiently than a vehicle mounted fast production system. Typical cost for a years water £80.

Question 2. You can easily get hold of a float cut off switch which will sort this problem out for you.

Have a look at our section 'How to get started with a pole system' at www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk it looks at this question and many others you will face when setting. Feel free to have a good browse.
